Elizabeth Blundell - People
Elizabeth, known as Libby, is a qualified Architect who studied at the Universities of Nottingham and Westminster and joined Edward Williams Architects as a Senior Architect and BIM Coordinator to work on major projects. Libby brings specialised knowledge of the healthcare sector to the practice and has extensive academic interests; past research has explored design as a form of palliative care and sustainable construction methods. A part time Undergraduate Lecturer and Tutor at the University of Brighton Libby is undertaking her postgraduate teaching certificate.
Libby’s professional experience includes working on healthcare projects for Medical Architecture and Art Projects (MAAP) including Hopewood Park, Wandsworth Recovery Centre in the UK and Glenside mental health centre in Adelaide Australia. She briefly worked for Paul Davis and Partners facilitating BIM delivery. Having travelled widely in developing countries Libby has volunteered with Architecture sans Frontieres, in Ecuador. Libby is fascinated by the possibilities of architecture both in academia and practice and continues to strengthen the connections between the two.
