Midland Metropolitan Hospital: 'Glass palace' will be up and running in 1,000 days
This is Birmingham’s “Glass Palace” - the city’s newest super-hospital which will be built in 1,000 days’ time. The 670-bed Midland Metropolitan Hospital will be located in Grove Lane, Smethwick, and will have 15 operating theatres, emergency and acute services - as well as a glass-fronted winter garden on the fifth floor.
