“Unless you learn this you are not going to be a great architect”

This article was published before we changed our practice name, from Edward Williams Architects to Cagni Williams

Cite Magazine interviewed Edward Williams Architects Director, Laura, about her experience designing and building colleges and campus buildings at Rice University, Texas. She caught up with Andrew Albers, a lecturer at Rice department of Architecture, to reflect on their time working together and with the students and staff at the university over the years. She shares some anecdotes about being the architect behind much of the campus’ built environment and subsequently, as a visiting lecturer. Catch-ups always take unexpected turns, so along the way, they detour via her route into architecture, the make-up of the London-based studio and her experience as a female, Italian architect.
