|Type:||Refurbishment & Restoration, Residential|
|Location:||London, United Kingdom|
Wellfield Avenue is a project for a family; Edward Williams Architects extended the rear of the house to provide a large living dining and kitchen area that has direct access to the terrace and garden.
The whole site slopes down gently towards the bottom of the garden and the design approach was to treat the inside of the house and the garden as a series of “rooms”using the slope to help delineate these areas.
The extension front is therefore fully glazed in a new modern timber panelized facade.Large glass panes slide to create a spacious outdoor/indoor room.
A new roof extension adds to the house an additional large room and bathroom.
